According to the Romanian citizenship or nationality law, in articles 5, 10 and 11, it establishes that the eligibility to obtain Romanian citizenship by descent may vary depending on different circumstances. A person may be eligible to obtain Romanian citizenship by descent by:
- Direct descent: If one of your parents or grandparents is a Romanian citizen, you may be entitled to Romanian citizenship by descent.
